I worked on this as part of a set of 4 over a few winters on the approach to Christmas. I loved the idea of a winter wonderland that I might escape to with a fantasy night sky populated with twinkling stars and snowflakes, the snugs at the bottom either spell merry or happy. I love the tall hills and cozy igloos and the idea of hibernating through the winter with merry festive get togethers in the igloo village amongst the frosty trees. I have these on my wall all year round, a lovely reminder of the dark cozy nights I’ll be spending by our fire while it snows. The 4 parts fit together to create one landscape.
The original image is created with biro on white card and then reprinted. They are an A6, 400gsm (which is a nice weight) silk card, they come with festive red envelopes.
A donation was made to Marie Curie Cancer Care when these cards were printed.
